Looking for an Eagle Mountain photographer? Hey — I’m Jen. I photograph families, seniors, maternity, newborns, weddings, and branding sessions all over Eagle Mountain and the surrounding area. I’ll be honest, Eagle Mountain wasn’t really on my radar a few years ago. But then I booked a session out there, drove past those wide-open fields with the mountains just sitting there all dramatic in the background, and I was like… okay, I get it now. This place is seriously underrated for photography. I make the drive down from South Weber (it’s about an hour, depending on how Point of the Mountain traffic is feeling that day), and every single time, those views deliver.
Why Eagle Mountain is a hidden gem for photos
Eagle Mountain is one of those places that’s growing so fast, half the people in Utah don’t even realize what’s out there yet. And honestly? That works in our favor. While everyone else is fighting for space at the same overshot Utah County locations, Eagle Mountain has acres of untouched open land, brand-new parks that aren’t packed to the gills, and a mountain backdrop that rivals anything on the east bench.
The Ranches area has some of my favorite fields — that golden grass against the Oquirrh Mountains in the background is something else. And the newer neighborhoods? Clean, open, and surrounded by enough natural landscape that your photos won’t look like a suburban photoshoot. They’ll look like you live somewhere beautiful. Because you do.
If you’re nearby in Saratoga Springs or Highland, I work those areas too. Eagle Mountain families — you’re closer to gorgeous photo locations than you think.
What I photograph in Eagle Mountain
Families
I love photographing families in Eagle Mountain because the energy here matches the landscape — open, relaxed, no pretense. Your kids can actually run around without us worrying about being in someone’s way. The parks out here — Cory B. Wride Memorial Park especially — have enough space to let families just be themselves while I capture the good stuff. The tickle fights. The toddler making a break for it. Dad pretending to drop someone. The real moments that you’ll actually want on your wall.
Weddings & Elopements
As an Eagle Mountain wedding photographer, I’ve fallen for the way this landscape works for intimate ceremonies. Those open fields with nothing but sky and mountains? It’s naturally cinematic. Wedding photography out here feels more relaxed too — less traffic, less noise, more breathing room. Whether you’re doing a backyard reception in one of the newer developments or a golden-hour elopement out by the open land west of town, I bring a documentary approach that captures what’s real. Your day, your way, preserved exactly as it happened.
Maternity
The wide-open spaces around Eagle Mountain were practically designed for maternity sessions. There’s something about a mama in a flowing dress standing in a sea of golden grass with mountains behind her that just… works. It’s powerful and soft at the same time. I schedule maternity sessions between 28 and 34 weeks, and I’ll walk you through every single pose so you feel confident and gorgeous the whole time. The wind out here can be a thing (let’s be real), but honestly? Wind + flowing dress = absolute magic in photos.
Newborns
For Eagle Mountain newborn sessions, I come to your house. You just brought a human into the world — I’m not about to make you load up the car and drive somewhere. I bring simple wraps and minimal props, find the best window light in your home, and we go at baby’s pace. Sleepy stretches, tiny toes, that little furrowed brow they make. Parents and siblings are always part of the session because this isn’t just about the baby. It’s about your family growing.
Senior Pictures
Eagle Mountain seniors, you’ve got options most kids don’t even know about. Those open fields create this incredible wide-angle backdrop that makes every photo feel epic. Nolan Park has great structure and greenery. And if you want something more urban, we can always head toward the commercial areas or even pop over to neighboring cities. I build every senior session around your personality. Athlete? Artist? Bookworm? Let’s make photos that actually look like you, not a cookie-cutter template.
Branding & Professional
Eagle Mountain’s entrepreneurial spirit is real. Between the home-based businesses, fitness coaches, realtors, and small shops, there’s a ton of hustle out here. If you need professional images that actually represent your brand — not stiff corporate stuff, but real, approachable photos — I’m your person. Clean lighting, honest composition, and images that make people want to work with you.
Eagle Mountain locations and when they shine
| Location | Look & Feel | Best Time |
|---|---|---|
| Cory B. Wride Memorial Park | Open grass, playground, mountain backdrop, family-friendly | Spring through fall, golden hour |
| Nolan Park | Trees, paths, open fields, playground area | Year-round, evening light |
| The Ranches open fields | Golden grass, unobstructed mountain views, wide horizon | Summer and fall, sunset |
| West Eagle Mountain open land | Raw desert landscape, dramatic sky, rugged feel | Year-round, golden hour or overcast |
| Newer residential neighborhoods | Clean lines, young trees, mountain backdrop, modern feel | Spring through fall, late afternoon |
Eagle Mountain is still developing, which means there are always new pockets of beauty showing up. If you’ve got a favorite spot — a field behind your neighborhood, a hilltop with a killer view — tell me about it. I love exploring new locations, and sometimes the best ones are the spots only locals know about.
What to know before your Eagle Mountain session
- Wardrobe tips: Earthy, muted tones look incredible against Eagle Mountain’s landscape — dusty rose, olive, cream, warm brown, soft blue. Skip anything neon or heavily patterned. Coordinate as a family without being matchy-matchy.
- Timing: Golden hour out here is next level because of the wide-open western horizon. That sun takes its sweet time going down, and the light is warm and beautiful for longer than you’d expect. I’ll set the perfect start time based on sunset.
- Wind advisory (for real): Eagle Mountain gets wind. It’s just a thing. Bring a hair tie for between shots, and embrace it during — windswept hair in a golden field looks amazing, I promise.
- Kids and snacks: Non-negotiable. Bring snacks, a favorite toy, and zero expectations for perfection. I’ve been doing this long enough to know that the “uncooperative” moments usually produce the best photos. Trust the process.
My style (what you’re actually getting)
I shoot with a Nikon Z6III and natural light. My editing is warm, clean, and true to life. No heavy filters, no skin smoothing that makes everyone look like a mannequin, no orange skies. Your family looks like your family. The landscape looks like the landscape. I include black and white edits in every gallery because some moments just carry more weight without color. My whole goal is timeless photos that still make you emotional in 2036.
Eagle Mountain through the seasons
Spring brings green to Eagle Mountain in a way that surprises people — those fields go from brown to lush practically overnight, and the mountains still have snow on top. It’s gorgeous contrast. Summer is all about those endless golden evenings where the light just hangs in the sky and everything turns warm and hazy. Fall is my personal favorite out here — the sagebrush turns these muted golds and russets, the sky gets deeper blue, and the air finally cools down enough to make a session comfortable. Winter? Underrated. Snow-dusted Oquirrhs, crisp clear skies, and a quietness that makes intimate sessions feel really special.
