Utah Wedding Photographer
Looking for a Utah wedding photographer who’ll actually make your big day feel like yours? I’m Jen — a wedding storyteller based in South Weber, Utah, and I’ve been capturing love stories along the Wasatch Front for years.
From intimate elopements tucked into mountain meadows to grand celebrations in downtown Salt Lake ballrooms, I photograph weddings the way they actually happen — real laughter, happy tears, stolen glances, and all the beautiful chaos in between.
My style is natural, warm, and editorial without being stiff. No awkward posing charts. No assembly-line wedding photography. Just a photographer who cares about your story and knows how to tell it through images.
If you want photos that make you feel something every time you look at them, you’re in the right place. Let’s talk about your wedding.
Why wedding photography matters
Your wedding day moves fast. Like, blink-and-you-missed-your-grandma-crying fast. The flowers will wilt. The cake will get eaten. The dance floor will empty.
The details you spent months agonizing over — the hand-lettered place cards, the vintage rings, the custom playlist — they all live for one day. But the photographs? Those stay.
They become the thing you pull out on anniversaries, the thing your kids study when they’re old enough to care, the thing that brings you right back to that exact feeling — the nerves before the first look, the way your hands shook during the vows, the moment your best friend ugly-cried during the toast.
I don’t shoot weddings like a checklist. I shoot them like a story — your story — because no two love stories look the same, and your photos shouldn’t either. Every couple I work with gets images that feel natural, warm, and unmistakably theirs.
Not stiff. Not overly posed. Not the same recycled shot list that every other photographer uses. Just real moments captured beautifully by someone who genuinely cares about preserving them.
That’s what wedding photography is really about. Not just documenting what happened, but preserving how it felt. The weight of the moment when you locked eyes during the ceremony. The relief and joy after the first kiss.
The pure chaos of the dance floor at midnight. Twenty years from now, you’ll open that gallery and be transported right back — and that’s worth investing in.
What to expect at your wedding
When you book me as your wedding photographer, you’re not just getting someone who shows up with a camera. You’re getting a partner in the planning process — someone who’s been through enough wedding days to know what works, what to watch for, and how to keep things flowing so you can actually enjoy yourself.
Before the wedding
We’ll start with a planning consultation — either in person or over a call — where we walk through your timeline, talk about the moments that matter most to you, and make sure we’re on the same page about everything from the first look to the last dance.
I’ll help you build a photography timeline that gives us plenty of breathing room for portraits without making you feel rushed. I’ve seen what works and what creates unnecessary stress, and I’ll guide you through it.
If you’ve booked an engagement or bridal session as part of your package, we’ll knock those out before the big day so you’re completely comfortable in front of my camera by the time the wedding arrives. That comfort makes a massive difference in your wedding portraits — couples who’ve already done a session with me are noticeably more relaxed and natural on the big day.
On your wedding day
I typically arrive during getting-ready time and stay through your reception — anywhere from 6 to 8 hours of coverage depending on your package. I work quietly and move quickly.
You’ll barely notice I’m there during the ceremony, but I promise I’m catching everything — the ring exchange from multiple angles, the tears during the vows, the way your partner’s face changed when they saw you for the first time.
First looks, ring exchanges, parent dances, sparkler exits, sneaky cake bites, and everything in between — all of it. I also make sure we carve out time for couple portraits, because those golden-hour shots with the Wasatch Range behind you?
Those are the ones that end up framed above the fireplace. I know how to work with Utah’s light, and I know exactly when and where to position you for the best results.
After the wedding
Your fully edited gallery is typically delivered within 4 to 6 weeks. Every image is individually edited for color, light, and tone — no batch filters, no one-click presets.
You’ll receive a private online gallery where you can download, share, and order prints. Most couples receive between 400 and 800+ edited images depending on coverage time and the pace of the day.

Where we shoot
Utah is honestly one of the best places in the country to get married if you care about scenery — and I’m not just saying that because I live here. The variety of landscapes within a short drive is unreal.
You can have mountain peaks, desert flats, canyon walls, urban rooftops, and lakeside venues all within an hour of each other.
I know the light at all of them — when it’s best, where to stand, and how to use each landscape to make your photos extraordinary.
Some of my favorite Utah wedding and portrait locations include:
- Big Cottonwood Canyon — Towering pines, rocky creek beds, and that soft filtered light that makes every portrait glow. One of the most popular spots for good reason.
- The Bonneville Salt Flats — Endless white horizon for couples who want something dramatic and otherworldly. Especially stunning at sunset when the sky turns pink and gold.
- Snowbasin Resort — Mountain elegance with panoramic views of the Ogden Valley. Summer and fall are both spectacular here.
- Salt Lake City — Urban backdrops, historic architecture, rooftop venues with mountain views, and the vibrant energy of the city. Great for couples who want a mix of editorial and romantic.
- Antelope Island — Wild, open, and stunning at sunset with the Great Salt Lake stretching out behind you. Dramatic and unforgettable.
- Ogden Canyon and Pineview Reservoir — Lush and green in summer, golden in fall, and always gorgeous. My backyard, basically.
- Temple grounds — Classic and timeless for LDS wedding photography throughout Northern Utah. I know the best angles at every temple along the Wasatch Front.
- Park City — Mountain town charm with aspen groves, ski lodge venues, and Main Street character. Beautiful year-round.
I also travel for weddings — Moab, Southern Utah, Bear Lake, Idaho, you name it. If you’re getting married somewhere beautiful, I want to be there.

Investment
I offer three wedding photography packages designed to fit different needs and budgets:
- Package 1: Engagements, Bridals & Wedding Day — The full experience. Includes an engagement session, a bridal session, and 6–8 hours of wedding day photography. This is my most popular package because it gives us the most time together and the most variety in your final gallery. $3,500
- Package 2: Wedding Day Only — 6–8 hours of wedding day coverage with all edited images included. Perfect for couples who want comprehensive wedding day documentation without the additional portrait sessions. $2,500
- Package 3: Bridals or Engagements Only — A standalone portrait session for brides or couples. Ideal if you already have a wedding photographer but want separate portrait work, or if you’re adding on to another package. $600
Every package includes all fully edited images delivered in a private online gallery — no hidden fees, no per-image charges, no print minimums. You get everything.

Frequently asked questions
- How far in advance should I book my wedding photographer? I recommend booking 6 to 12 months ahead, especially for summer and fall dates along the Wasatch Front. Popular Saturdays fill up quickly, so the sooner you reach out, the better chance we have of making it work. Even if your date is closer, reach out — I may still have availability.
- Do you have a second shooter? For larger weddings or events with multiple locations happening simultaneously, I can bring a trusted second shooter for an additional fee. We’ll talk through whether it makes sense for your specific day during our planning call.
- What happens if it rains on my wedding day? We roll with it — and honestly, some of my favorite images have come from overcast or rainy days. The light is soft, the mood is intimate, and the photos have a cinematic quality you just can’t get on a sunny day. I always have backup location ideas ready, and your timeline will have enough flexibility built in to adapt.
- How many photos will I receive? Most wedding galleries include 400 to 800+ fully edited images depending on the hours of coverage. Every image is individually edited — no batch processing, no shortcuts.
- Can I see a full wedding gallery? Absolutely. Send me a message and I’ll share a full gallery from a recent wedding so you can see exactly what a complete delivery looks like from start to finish.
- Do you travel for weddings? Yes! I’m based in South Weber but regularly shoot weddings throughout Utah — from Logan to St. George and everywhere in between. Travel fees may apply for destinations outside the Wasatch Front area, but I’m always happy to discuss.
Book your wedding photographer
Your wedding day deserves images that feel as real and beautiful as the love behind them. Not cookie-cutter. Not generic. Not someone else’s style imposed on your story.
If you’re looking for a Utah wedding photographer who’ll capture your day with warmth, honesty, and genuine care — who’ll feel like a friend with a camera rather than a stranger with a shot list — I’d love to hear your story.
